About John Davis

A native Houstonian and fifth generation Texan, John E. Davis has served Clear Lake's District 129 in the Texas House since 1998 and has built a record as a responsible steward of your tax dollars. John's leadership helped the Legislature balance the budget after a $10 billion shortfall without a tax increase.

John graduated from Baylor University in 1982 and the University of Houston-Clear Lake in 1987. He is the past President of Oates Industries and now serves as an independent manufacturer representative for RPM, a roof and wall restoration company.

John married Jayne Anne, a fellow Baylor grad, in 1984. Jayne is a former elementary school teacher for Clear Creek I.S.D. John and Jayne have three sons: Reagan, Samuel and Gaston.
