VIRGINIA BEACH, Va., July 14 /PRNewswire/ -- The AMERIGROUP Foundation today announced that State Rep. John Davis of Houston has been honored with its "Champion for Children" award.
The award is part of the AMERIGROUP Foundation's national program recognizing outstanding public advocacy efforts by government and community leaders in improving the health and well-being of children nationwide.

Davis' commitment to children and their families, a $2,500 Foundation contribution will be presented to the DePelchin Children's Center, which is the largest and most comprehensive provider of children's social and mental health services in the Houston area.
